Podere Casarotta is made of two buildings: the main one includes the reception and 5 apartments, two of which sleep 4 people and the other 3 which sleep two (additional beds are available) and a hay-loft, also available for guests. Each apartment is made of at least one bedroom, furnished kitchen, bathroom. All are equipped with their own phone. There is a swimming-pool (15x5), from where there is a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside. The estate extends over 12 ha., and is surrounded by olive groves, gardens and wood. The house is at 500 m. from the sea level, on a hill with a panoramic view over Valdarno and Chianti mounts. The estate produces its own olive oil, which is then sold, using biological forming methods. You get to the farmhouse following first a tarred road, then an untarred one for about 500 m.
 
 
Apt nr. 2 " of the loggia " (Typical Tuscan entrance terrace)
This apartment is situated in the main building of the farmhouse and includes an outside loggia (typical of Tuscan architecture) from where there is a vast view over Valdarno. Inside there is a kitchen-dining room (with a divan-bed for two people), a bedroom and bathroom with shower. The large window in the bedroom also faces the valley. Originally this part of the building was used as a barn where the wheat was beaten. The apartment is on three levels and 47 m2. The renovations have incorporated the original stones. Each apartment is characterised by a different colour border and the theme colour for this one is olive green. It sleeps two people but can be extended to sleep 4.
Apt nr. 3 " of the arches "
 
This apartment is situated in the main building of the farmhouse. The border colour is orange. It is 76 m2 large and comfortable: the ground-floor is made up of a kitchen with its original arches, the living-room is separated from the kitchen by a small wall. A comfortable divan-bed provides extra sleeping space for two people.
Take left side there is a bathroom with shower. The original stone staircase leads up to the bedroom. The 18th century beams in the ceiling of the bedroom have been maintained, giving the room a magical atmosphere, enhanced by the view over the estate's olive groves. This part of the building was previously used as a stable. There is also a private terrace. The apartment is ideal for 2 people but can sleep 4.
Apt.nr. 4 " independent unit "
This apartment is located at the back of the main building and is 41 m2. It looks out over hills and olive groves. There are two levels and the colour scheme is yellow and grey. It is near to the swimming-pool. A wooden and stone staircase from the kitchen-dining room leads up to the first floor (double bedroom and bathroom).

The bedroom was formerly home to a couple of great horned owls who nested in the ceiling of the apartment. The bedroom has an en-suite bathroom where from a small window you can view the olive groves. The apartment is suitable for 2 people. A private terrace is also available.
Apt. nr. 5 " Mulberry trees "
The apartment is located in the main building on the first floor. It has a magnificent view over Valdarno, cypress trees, hills and olive groves. The view is sometimes obscured by two mulberry trees (from which the apartment takes its name) that have been standing for over 100 years. In years gone by this apartment housed thirty young silk workers, giving the guest the feeling of being part of a 15th century Tuscan painting. It is a large apartment with its own stone fire-place. To the right of the entrance hall, there is a door which leads up into the bathroom (with shower).
The entrance hall leads on to the kitchen-living room followed by the large bedroom. There is also an outdoor-terrace. On request, this apartment can be rented in conjunction with apt.6. It sleeps two people but there is a divan-bed which sleeps a further two people.
Apt. nr. 6 " Canopies "

The apartment is located on the first floor of the main building of Podere Casarotta. At 84 m2 it is the largest and most luxurious apartment. An original 18th century staircase leads up to the apartment. The feature of the apartment is its wooden roof which is typical of Tuscan cottages. It is made of 3 rooms - a kitchen-dining room and two large double bedrooms, the bathroom is large with a double washbasin and tub. The windows overlook the olive grove. The colour scheme for the apartment is bordeaux. The bedrooms are furnished with double beds of wrought iron and decorative canopies, furniture is antique, blending with the width of the rooms. It sleeps 4 people and an extra bed can be provided for a child. There is an outdoor terrace. This apartment can be rented together with nr. 5 on request.
